I'm Cass Zakaib, a CPA and CFE. I began my career in Big Four public accounting, then spent nearly a decade at CN Rail, one of North America's largest transportation and supply-chain organizations. My experience spans forensic accounting and internal audit, financial planning and analysis, finance transformation, commercial strategy and executive advisory—including Chief of Staff responsibilities supporting senior commercial leadership.

Through Cass Zakaib Executive Advisory, I work alongside executives and leadership teams navigating growth, complexity and change. My capabilities apply across industries, supported by particularly deep experience in transportation, logistics and other complex operating environments. My strength lies in connecting what organizations often manage separately: strategy, finance, operations and people. I bring clarity to complex decisions, build alignment across functions and create the structure and accountability required to move critical priorities forward.

What drives me is simple: I feel most rewarded when the people around me succeed. Whether it's my weekly volunteering session at the Montreal SPCA, helping a friend work through a hard problem, or guiding a leadership team through a tough call, I go the extra mile because I want to see people win. My career gave me rigor, sharp business judgment, and the drive to see a path to the goal clearly and move on it fast, with real intensity. Execution has always been my strength — but the real reward is when everyone wins: the client, the customers, the company, the employees.

I started Cass Zakaib Executive Advisory to bring everything I've learned to the organizations that need it most — startups, high-growth companies, and mid to large-sized businesses navigating real change.
